It is well known that bone conduction headphones keep your ears open, so we cannot say that these headphones are not good for runners. It’s really about your priority. You can use any headphones if you are running on the ground where there is no way of an accident (no traffic), but if you are running on the road, in the traffic, or anywhere where you need to be aware of your surroundings, you must look at the bone conduction headphones.
Because traditional headphones don’t keep your ears open, you can’t hear the sounds around you while you’re running. The most significant disadvantage of this is that you can have an accident because If you don’t look around, you will not hear the sound of the horns of the vehicles on the road. If you think about it seriously, you will realize that it is very foolish to run when using traditional headphones on the road.
On the other hand, if you wear bone conduction headphones in your ears and run on the road, you can be aware of the surroundings. What could be better than listening to music and being aware of the environment around you so that you can avoid all kinds of accidents.
The most important thing is how much you love your life. It sounds a bit strange, but there are a lot of people out there who don’t love their lives and prefer the quality of sound over safety.
Obviously, if you want to be aware of the surroundings, you have to compromise a little bit on the sound quality. All the bone conduction headphones keep the ears open, and we have repeatedly said this. By keeping the ears open, you can hear the surroundings, and because of this, You may not like the sound quality. This does not mean that the quality of the bone conduction headphones is bad. In fact, this is how technology works.
So if you want good sound quality and you also want to have bone conduction headphones so that you are safe, you can use earplugs to listen to music, and for running, you should unplug them. The advantage of this is that you will not have any problem with the sound quality while listening to the music, at least at home but outdoors, you should compromise on the sound for safety.
Also, if you do not like to close your ears, then bone conduction headphones are very good for you. The advantage of this is that the air will stay inside your ears, and you will remain calm. Also, your ears will not be a breeding ground for germs.
And if you talk about the disadvantages of bone conduction headphones, I see only one disadvantage other than sound. Because you will sweat while running, due to which the bone conduction headphones may slip from your cheekbones frequently. It doesn’t happen to everyone, but it can happen to you.
The easiest way to solve this problem is to evaluate the size of any bone conduction headphones you are buying and talk to customer service to make sure these headphones fit over your head.
Finally, I would like to say never compromise on safety because your life is more important than the loud music you listen to on your traditional headphones while running on the road.
